Quinerly’s waiver denied

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama –

Transfer Point Guard Jahvon Quinerly’s hardship waiver has been denied by the NCAA. Quinerly, a 6’0 170lbs guard from Hackensack, New Jersey and formerly of Villanova University, will likely sit one and play three for Nate Oats’ Crimson Tide team. A former 5-star and McDonald’s All-American, Quinerly ultimately committed to Alabama on June 2nd over a long list of schools that included Pittsburgh and Arkansas. With this news, Sophomore Kira Lewis Jr, West Virginia Graduate-Transfer Beetle Bolden, and True-Freshman Jaden Shackelford will likely be tasked with anchoring down the Point Guard position during the Tide’s 2019-20' season. However, an appeal on the decision is currently in the works. We will keep you updated on any new information as soon as it drops.
