Crimson Crossover nugget: Alabama no longer in pursuit of Top 40 PG?

TUSCALOOSA, AL—

Callaway HS (MS) 4-star PG Daeshun Ruffin has been a name to watch for Tide fans over the last year, but according to sources close to the Crimson Tide program, that may no longer be the case.

Last week, Ruffin cut his list to 6 (Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU and Florida)— but multiple indications suggest that Ole Miss has taken a commanding lead in this recruitment.

It is believed that Nate Oats and his 2nd year staff will no longer pursue Ruffin, but instead enforce a full-court press on priority targets (but not excluded to) PG JD Davison, F Alex Fudge, C Charles Bediako and F Alex Tchikou.
