With two games left in the regular season, The Crimson Tide are looking to finish strong and strengthen their NCAA Tournament resume. Coming of a 90-86 victory against fellow bubble team, South Carolina, the Tide host Vanderbilt in the season finale at home—which also serves as Senior Night for Alabama's lone Senior, Guard James “Beetle” Bolden. Kira Lewis Jr. led the charge, per usual, in the last victory, posting 25 points and 6 assists. Jaden Shackelford added 18, and Redshirt Freshman big, Javian Davis, posted his first career double-double (20 points and 10 rebounds). With Junior Guard John Petty likely out again, the aforementioned players will have to step up once again to help push Nate Oats’ Crimson Tide team to the finish line. Struggling in recent weeks, the Commodores lost once again Saturday, this time to Ole Miss, losing 86-60. While the numbers say otherwise, this is not a team Alabama can afford to overlook, as a loss this time of year can eliminate any hopes for a NCAA tournament bid.

Key Players to watch:

Junior Guard Saban Lee - 17.2 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 4.2 APG

Freshman Guard Scotty Pippen Jr - 11.5 PPG, 2.7 RPG, 3.6 APG

Nate Oats has his team laser focused this week, preparing them for what’s ahead and on what they need to do to make the NCAA Tournament in his first season. While Petty is still nursing his elbow injury, the Tide has more than enough firepower to make up for his absence with Lewis & Shackelford flying around the perimeter. With both teams being known for turning the ball over a lot, ball security will have to be at an all-time high to help secure this win. I believe Javian Davis will continue his streak of good performances, and that this will be Jaylen Forbes’s game to step up and provide some big shots off the bench. I have the Tide winning this one big.

Alabama 91

Vanderbilt 74
